I was born and raised in Carmel, California. Currently, I live on Bowen Island with my husband, Doug, and our two cats, Obie and Gracie. I have raised four remarkable sons, being their mother has been my main purpose in life, and I have loved almost every moment!

Most days, you can find me moving between my art studio, kitchen, garden, or caring for our Airbnb: Island Forest Retreat on our property. I would have to attribute most of my inspiration to my mother, Marjorie, who instilled in my three sisters, two brothers and me a love of food and gardening. Three of us worked along side our mother in her restaurant. Food is a really big part of my family’s life!

With a love for photography, I am thankfully able to enjoy capturing the magic of a moment, such as an expression on a face, or how light reflects on water or in a garden, and painting what I see with a vast palette of colors. I love working with acrylics for their flexibility, and pastels for their tactile properties.
